Christ promised to come in the Apostles’ lifetime when they would be persecuted by the Jews
Jesus clearly said his coming would be in the Apostles’ lifetime. “But when they persecute you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily I say unto you, Ye shall not have gone over the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come.” (Matt 10:23)
Who was this ‘you’ that Jesus was speaking to? Was it all Christians throughout all ages? No, Jesus was speaking to his twelve disciples about events that were to happen during their lifetime.
He clearly told them that He, the Son of Man, would come while they were encountering persecution in the cities of Israel. He would come as they were fleeing from one city of Israel to another.
The second coming of Jesus happened during the time of the persecution of the Apostles and disciples of Christ
Notice, Jesus spoke of cities in ancient Israel, not in any other nation. He predicted that his disciples, would be persecuted in the cities of Israel. He predicted that He would come while they were fleeing from one city of Israel to another!
Jesus’ said His coming would have been in the land of Judaea of ancient Israel
This persecution of the disciples of Christ, primarily by the Jewish Israelites, occurred between the years 31 and 70. This happened in the land of Judaea and surrounding nations where Jewish communities existed.
Therefore, from what Jesus said to his disciples concerning his coming, it is evident that the second coming of Jesus happened locally in the land of Judaea. His coming happened in ancient Israel during the Apostle’s lifetime.
